Smithy is derived from the trade, Blacksmith. This is a tribute to the previous tenant of our location, Henry Potter. He was an established blacksmith in the Dallas, TX area. He and his family have been in the trade for the past 90 years and have spanned their love for blacksmithing across four generations.
They continue to be a staple in the Dallas

State & Allen Kitchen+Bar is one of those Dallas neighborhood establishments that is as real and as effortlessly fun as the people who frequent it. A place for a quick cocktail, or impeccably prepared food accompanied by a selection from an impressive wine list.

State & Allen is a cute neighbor bar and restaurant. All of the staff was friendly and helpful, and the food was great
After 500+ visits (no exaggeration 25 years), still my favorite Mexican food. Wide variety of menu items although I ALWAYS get chicken fajitas with burned-black onions (my special request). Food same quality as 25 years ago and Raphael is still on site daily. I guarantee youll like this place but it is kid-friendly.

I've eaten Jamaican food all over the world so I'm a bit of a snob and know good Jamaican from bad. Since moving to the USA 14 years ago I would have to say this place has the BEST Jamaican food I've had in the United States. I've eaten it in many places like Miami, NYC, Maryland, Oklahoma and DC to name a few.

In the Spring of 1972, Los Lupes opened its doors on the corner of Cole & Riverfront (formerly Industrial) bringing Traditional Mexican Food to Dallas.
