Since 1973 United Methodist Nursery School has been committed to establishing a foundation of learning, guiding, inspiring, and teaching the children in our program while serving their families and our community. Our Enrichment Playschool Program will promote healthy child development through social, physical, emotional and cognitive growth experiences.

The mission of this preschool is to provide a happy, healthy, wholesome and safe learning experience for preschoolers. The emphasis is on the importance of fostering good relationships, promoting healthy attitudes, developing self-confidence and a sense of independence.
Through the presence of a warm and accepting climate and the use of informal centers of interest, we hope to achieve these goals and help to prepare your child for the formal school years to come.Social Interaction: Relating on a day-to-day basis with other children and adults, with an emphasis on good manners.

2 Year Old's
Report
Your child will be discovering many things about himself/herself and the world around him/her. As their mobility increases, they will learn to be more independent. Hearing from your child "Mine, "Me" and "No" reflects this new found independence. Through this program we will encourage exploration and independence by providing a safe and interesting environment.
4 Year Old's
Report
Socialization - sharing, teamwork, interacting with groups of children as well as one on one. Sharing and getting along with others, waiting for a turn. Children will be exposed to new information through discovery and play. Each student will be "star of the week." Your child will be given a star of the week poster to decorate, which will be displayed in the classroom.
Curriculum

We Start our Day with CIRCLE TIME - Circle time consists of: interaction with the teacher, attendance (name recognition and matching), pledge of allegiance, Calendar/weather, show & tell, music and lesson/concept games. PROJECT TIME/PLAYTIME - Project time and play time are going on at the same time.
