Speech is the production of sounds to produce effective verbal communication. Individuals with Speech Disorders could have a hard time saying sounds and will often be difficult to understand at the word, sentences, and/or conversation level. Areas which can be impacted include Fluency, Voicing, and Articulation/Phonological skills.

Language, in relation to communication, can be broken down into four specific areas: Verbal Expression and Written Expression (Expressive Language); Auditory Comprehension and Reading Comprehension (Receptive Language). Literacy is the ability to read and write. Language-based learning disabilities are literacy-related problems with reading, spelling and writing, and include dyslexia.

Testimonials
Report
Yesterday our son said a 9-word sentence and I cherish each new thought that comes from his mouth. Most importantly, our son is connected to our family. Our son is lucky to have found a path through the maze that communication presents to us all in the form of his speech therapist, Ms. Liz. - Rosemarie T.
