Andrea is proud to begin her dental career with Dr. Tangeman and the rest of his team here in Bakersfield! She completed her education at the Regional Occupation Center and joined the team as a Dental Assistant. Andrea is responsible for assisting Dr. Tangeman, maintaining all of the supplies necessary for the office to run, as well as completing the X-rays and sterilization of the equipment.

I have been with Dr Tangeman's office for almost a year now. I've been to several dentists over the course of my 7 year residence in Bakersfield and have yet met a dentist that was worth the effort of writing a glowing review. Honestly I'm not sure I've ever felt inclined to write a review about any dentist before. I am so appreciative of the office staff always taking the time to help me understand my insurance and my financial responsibility BEFORE I sit down with the doctor so there's never any surprises. Everyone is so kind when I come in. Dr Tangeman takes his time to explain everything involved

I had to revise my review, apart from all the staff are super sweet and so friendly, this dentist is way unreasonable with their insurance billing and pricing. I had a cleaning and a revised root canal (with a different dentist) and two of my molars were left unfinished, I had to pay 200 out of packet and later received a bill for another 200 after my insurance was MAXED OUT! Over the years, I have had various work done with other dentists and my insurance has never maxed out., let alone pay 400 out of pocket for unfinished work. I am now left with a giant hole on my molar that I have to get fixed

Dr. Tangeman is knowledgeable, helpful, kind, and funny. I am a new patient, and wish I'd found him years ago. When I had my initial x-rays done, he mentioned I should try an at home remedy for something he saw, and that if that worked, I may have reason to see an ENT.
I know that many people have an issue going to the DDS (I'm not generally one), but I believe Dr Tangeman's friendly manner would ease even the toughest cases.

Dr Tangeman is an Amazing dentist who truly cares for his patients. When he steps in the room with you he is focused on what's the best dental care he can give you. His office staff are always so welcoming and friendly. I truly feel that he cares about his patient's and isn't out there trying to see how he can get more money. He is a Top Notch Dentist and I'm grateful to have him as my dentist.

Front the front desk all the way to Mr. Tangeman they are very welcoming and informative. They treat you like family and take time with every visit. I made the mistake of going somewhere else because that place was open on the weekends but safe to say I will not ever go to another dental office ever again.
I recommend this office because they are efficient, knowledgeable, caring, and most of all they pay attention to the needs of their patients.

I had another great appointment with Dr. Tangeman today, I never dread going to see him. I’d say he’s my favorite dentist of all the dentists I’ve seen in my 62 years. He asks a lot of questions, trying to give you the best service he possibly can. And doesn’t let you leave dissatisfied. And the office staff are very friendly and help you work with your insurance. All around, a five star experience!

Dr. Tangeman is hands down the BEST dentist I have ever visited. He was extremely kind, very thorough, and explained everything perfectly, so I never failed to understand what was going on and what my treatment would be. I am so relieved I have found the dentist who really goes the extra mile to ensure the best quality and care. I definitely recommend, He is the Best dentist in Bakersfield hands down. Words can't describe how devastated I am! Two weeks ago I went in for another filling Which the doctor said he couldn't save the tooth again and had to do another root canal. This will be the third time this has happened within eight months of having him as my dentist. Three root canal's in eight months just from fillings???? Every time he opens and drains it and then says ill see you back in two weeks for another root canal. I honestly don't think I needed all those root canal's. Each root canal cost me $1200 +900 for the post build up and then 500 additional for the crown

If you're looking for a new dentist or your first dentist I highly recommended going to Dr. Tangeman. Very professional and lovely staff at his office. Dr. Tangeman not only has accepted me as his new patience but is doing wonders on my teeth and always keeping me smiling. Extremely nice and clean facility and top of the line technology.

While Dr Tangeman was satisfactory, his office help was a joke. I had limited insurance, the front desk person offered to check to see if I was covered in full. She claimed I was. After I had $1500 worth of work done she claimed she rechecked and "oops, sorry, you're only covered by half. You'll have to pay $750 upfront."

Dr Scott Tangeman has been my dentist for nearly a year now and I could not be more pleased with his services. He has provided me with very personal service and explained a variety of treatment options. The cost of services he has provided have been as expected and reasonable. During treatments, Dr Tangeman is always concerned for my comfort, and he has never caused any pain.
