Edith is a mother of three beautiful children and is a certified Pilates instructor. She has been training at Body Belly Baby throughout her three pregnancies, attended classes three times a week during and after pregnancies. It is an immense pleasure to have her on our team. A certified fitness professional with over 20 years experience in group exercise instruction.

Portia first discovered her passion for group exercise (and belly dance!) at the University of Florida in 1998 and soon after began her fitness career.

It is a safe, low impact and highly effective mind-body spirit modality addressed to every one, from the de-conditioned to the athlete. The most traditional equipment - the reformer- guides your body in your movements by creating both resistance and assistance with its springs.
Postnatal Pilates with Baby

The same group of moms and babies get together and learn a routine to exercise safely and playfully, getting stronger week after week. This Pilates postpartum course also includes smooth belly dance moves, and contains a focus on pelvic floor exercise. Mom and baby exercise together; using a "baby Carrier" at times or your child' s weight to exercise or leaving your baby on the comfortable mat.

Kegel exercises are an important element of women's pelvic floor health, wellness and fitness. The Kegel exercises target the pelvic floor muscles, a group of intertwined muscles that attached from the pubic bone to the tailbone and between the site bones. As any other muscles, the pelvic floor muscles need to be toned and strengthened.
