Like all art forms, pottery takes skill and practice. That journey and discovery is all part of the novelty. I am still growing and learning myself, every potter is. When seeing your finished work your first thought is how cool everything is, and then you get this amazing desire to make more!
Each pot is an experiment; how is this glaze going to turn out, are my decorations all that I hoped and dreamed; and once you get the results you need to try again!For me, this excitement takes me to another world. Nothing exists outside of the studio and my hands are probably too dirty to touch my phone even if I wanted too.

Once you become a member you will get access to an online class calendar that will let you sign up for the classes you want! Ultimately, we will work with each student independently to teach at a pace that is appropriate for their skill levels and goals for the class. Scheduled classes will be held in the class-room, which will allow artists who are uninterested in the class structure to work independently in the work-room.

Hi, My name is Sean. I am so excited to see this studio and community grow! I have been passionate about ceramics since middle and high school. After high school, I studied at the ceramics department at the University of Alaska Anchorage. After years of using this art form for my own mental health, I decided to open this studio to share my passion with the world!

We understand that there are so many amazingly talented and passionate (or soon to be!) artists that struggle with the financial difficulty associated with ceramics. Receivers of the scholarship are given between 2 to 4 months of full studio and class access.
