Neighborhood House Nursery School (NHNS) is operated by the Neighborhood Association, a non-profit, community-based organization. Opened in 1920 and located in a charming Victorian house just one block from Taylor Park, the NHNS provides a home away from home environment where children learn to love the process of learning and discovery.
NHNS also creates a unique opportunity to connect learning to our natural environment with the use of our garden area. The pre-school program is open to children of parents who live or work in Millburn/Short Hills and the surrounding communities.

For 2 1/2 year olds there is a set schedule. Homelike Environment - The Neighborhood House resembles a home more than a school, thus making a child's first break from home easier.

Parent Testimonials
Report
We love Neighborhood House. The philosophy the teachers the families. We moved our daughter from day care to neighborhood house pre k at 3 years old. The difference from our past experience is that Neighborhood House offers a small safe environment where each child is encouraged to be themselves while learning the value of community and structure.
