Sprout House is a private, nonprofit child care center, nursery school, rising five, and kindergarten serving children from age 2 1/2 through 6 years. The mission of Sprout House is to provide a home-like setting in which happy and inquisitive children develop positive and eager attitudes toward school.
We foster a global consciousness that embraces environmental beauty and sustainability. At the same time, we cultivate an awareness that all children deserve participation in societies where people can sustain themselves and live healthful, stimulating and fulfilling lives. Science of the day: Fungi Fairy Rings form from a tree (trunk) that once inhabited that location.

Nursery Program
Report
Conceived and directed by an Early Childhood college instructor out of concern for her own child and all young children, Sprout House embodies the soundest research and theories in education. Although it is unique, the school is primarily based on the modern British Infant School. At Sprout House, children are allowed to be children, to grow and learn at their own pace, and to develop inner controls with sincere and gentle guidance.
Rising Five Program
Report
Our Rising Five class is a small, intimate group of younger five-year-old children. While still a part of our nursery school, this program enriches and expands upon nursery activities to help the children cultivate the skills, mindset, and character that will serve them well not just in kindergarten but also in life for years to come.
Summer Camp
Report
Sprout House provides children ages 3 to 6 with a relaxed summer program by offering friends, fun and a chance to develop individual talents. All children are presented with a wide range of relaxing nature activities, games, arts and crafts, projects and free choice. Children play outdoors in the early morning, when it is cooler.
