Don't be thrown off by the unfamiliar roots and fruits! The Filipino flair on these treats are perfectly incorporated and enhanced. Every flavor tastes incredibly bright, fresh, and delectable. The texture is spot on, and your left with a smooth feel and no gristle. The butter creams are very smooth and some of the macarons like the white chocolate raspberry have an added fruit filing.
Frankly, I'm addicted. Traveling from Phoenix, coming here is as necessary as going to the beach. From familiar tastes of Nutella to your childhood memories of PB&J, the number of flavors available seem endless. Not knowing the next time we'd come back, we just went to town and pretty much got one of almost every flavor available that day to make a box of 15.

In 2014, Munch Bakery was born through an obsessive journey to make the perfect macaron with a Filipino flare. Little did the baker know that in her journey to conquer a traditional French cookie that she would find her own voice, breaking with Filipino and French traditions and melding the two into what she describes as "The Taste of LA".

All order are made to order and ship on either Monday or Wednesdays by USPS from Los Angeles, CA. If for any reason you are not completely satisfied with your order, we will refund the amount in full and send a replacement dozen. Being a huge macaron fiend, I had Munch Bakery's macarons for my wedding. They were a big hit! Not only did I spend a good amount of time on the dance floor with macarons in my hand, people continuously asked me where I got them. Munch Bakery is just amazing! Mel's macarons are so beyond delicious and her flavors are so creative.

I love seeing someone take their first bite of my macaron. They're surprised by the delicate texture and unique flavor and usually offer the next bite to a loved one near by. I can watch that organic moment repeatedly with every new customer, as I'm reminded that this unique dessert is inspired by the beautiful cultures of LA.
