St. Mark's Nursery School is a cooperative nursery school. It represents the joint effort of parents and educators to provide young children with the best possible experiences for wholesome growth and development. It means parents and caregivers will have a front row seat as their child has their first school experiences.

St. Mark's Nursery School, located in Rockville Centre, New York, is a non-profit organization owned and operated by its members - the parents. The school is registered with the New York State Department of Education and licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services. We provide 3 and 4-year-old programs and extended day options, as well as 2-Year-Old "Two-gether", Transition, and Separation classes.
Our History

Since that time, we have continued to expand our program in order to provide the community with innovative, quality programs. In 1976, we became the first cooperative nursery school in Nassau County to be registered by the New York State Department of Education. In the following years we achieved NAEYC accreditation for our programs.

We are excited to be the directors here at St. Mark's because we so deeply believe in the uniqueness of the experience that it offers. As former parents here and as one of us is a former alumni of the school - we feel we have a unique ability to explain to you what makes it so special.

Our Curriculum
Report
This is a wonderful 1.5-hour program that prepares your child for nursery school. A parent or caregiver participates in each class session, which includes a fun variety of crafts, stories, songs, snacks and other activities. The class meets once per week. Our Separation program starts off as a 2-hour drop-off class and progress to 2.5 hours in January.
