Tyler grew up in Round Rock, Texas where he attended Round Rock High School. After graduation, Tyler attended Trinity University and graduated with a major in accounting. Tyler was then accepted into St Mary's University School of Law, where he graduated with a law degree three years later. Finding an interest in tax, he received his masters in tax law (LLM in taxation) at the University of Denver Sturm College Of Law.
