After show jumping in the late 1980's under the guidance of Barbara Murry, of Valley West Equestrian Facility, Elaine went on to train several of her own horses. Elaine Herrold has owned and operated Herrold Stables, LLC for over 19 years.
She has been providing to the needs of both horse and rider with boarding, training, and instruction in Hillsboro, Oregon. Both her and her husband, Dan, have also enjoyed the hard work of gentling several wild mustangs for the past 25 years. You can now see the fruits of their labor in the kind, loving horses they use as part of the schooling program of Herrold Stables, LLC.

2021 Day Camps & Events

We are OPEN for all Horse Riding! Facemask NOT Required as per Oregon requirements for all outdoor sports activities. All events are outside. Come have fun experiencing horsemanship and farm life at our top notch facility! All activities are co-ed and family friendly. Riders experience Horsemanship, English/Western riding, Showmanship, Crafts, and much more!

Private Group Horse Rides

Staff and participants will wear facemask when with in 6' of another person as per Oregon requirements. All events are outside. Participant will be taught equine safety, and will experience first hand basic grooming, saddling, and riding. Horse will be saddled by participate as ability allows. Once horse is tacked up, its off to our well groomed inside arena.

You will enjoy the peaceful surroundings and always open free ride. Each arena was custom created for equine and rider safety. Herrold Stables uses all stainless steel piping on their property, ensuring a safe, clean pleasant ride. 100' x 200' Outdoor Arena. After years of research, this footing has proved to stand up to Oregon rain.
