Oregon Horsemanship
Founded on the belief that every horse deserves a forever home where they are loved and appreciated, Oregon Horsemanship soon grew into a full riding program in order to support the horses. When people ask where we get our horses we respond that "they find us." With varied backgrounds- sometimes with issues both mental and physical- they have found a place where they are understood and get to live out their days at our "bed and breakfast."

Compassion, love, and patience is found at our barn for both people and horses. When starting the program, what we soon found is that by fostering the relationship between horses and people- especially kids and their families- others developed our same passion. While learning to ride we also always include groundwork, relationship and confidence building, and care of the horse.

Who We Are
Report
Letitia has an extensive background in working with horses. She found at a young age that horses brought more to her than just an animal to ride. She found herself when she was with horses and they helped her navigate her young life. As an adult she bought her first "adult" horse, Apollo, and owned him for over 25 years.

The Herd
Report
The beautiful queen of the barn. She came to Letitia over 12 years ago when she needed a soft spot to land. Letitia's dream horse since she was a little girl. An ex show horse, she has been with us the longest now. She is the first one to come in at night and enjoys green apples and raspberries. She has a spirit that draws people to her and has a sense for any child that comes in with special needs.
Testimonials
Report
Letitia Is an amazing instructor with a big heart for both animals and kids. The program is fantastic, she rescues horses that would otherwise be discarded due to age or injury. It's unfortunate that these horses are put down when they still have so much to offer. The Oregon Horsemanship program gives them a second chance at a great life, while fundamentally teaching girls the responsibilities of riding and caring for these majestic creatures.
