Iron Horse Riding Academy opened in 2009 under the experienced hand of Adria Fix. Iron Horse strives to teach every student confidence through safe handling, proper care and riding in partnership with our beloved horses. Our lessons focus on Eventing, teaching each student the art of Dressage, the courage of Cross Country Jumping, and the technical skill of Show Jumping.
Horsemanship and respect of the horses are just as important in our lessons. We wish our students to be life-long learners and to teach them how to learn on their own. Adria is our Head Trainer and Amy McCaffrey is our Assistant Trainer. Adria has been teaching since 2004 and has managed several programs since 2002.

Boarding
Report
Our big barn has 15 12x12 barnmaster stalls with dutch doors and our small barn has 6 12x10 wood stalls with gates. All stalls are matted and have automatic waters. Our indoor is 70x140 and is fully enclosed with 2 garage doors to outside and insulated to stay cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter.
Lessons

For our horse owners, we offer some basic monthly training packages. You have weekly group lessons on your horse and your horse receives pro-rides from one of our trainers to progress them in their training. Prices apply to group lessons only, but private lessons may be arranged at an increased rate.
Pony Club Riding Center

As a member of the United States Pony Clubs, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and good temper, sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner.

Hazel is owned by one of our first students. She Evented to Novice with her owner and went off to college with her. She unfortunately developed arthritis in her neck that prevented her from competing over Beginner Novice height. She is now back with us to teach our next set of students the ropes of Eventing!
