Board-certified specialists utilize advanced diagnostics, medication management, and interventional procedures to target pain sources. With a focus on improving quality of life, our approach integrates physical medicine, behavioral health, and minimally invasive techniques to deliver lasting relief where traditional methods have failed.
Behavioral Medicine
This specialized department addresses the psychological aspects of chronic pain through evidence-based therapeutic interventions. Our psychiatric nurse practitioners and licensed clinical social workers provide cognitive behavioral therapy, coping strategies, and mental health support. By treating the mind-body connection, we help patients develop resilience and improve treatment outcomes through integrated care coordination with medical specialists.
Diagnostic Testing
Our on-site diagnostic facilities feature CT scanners, X-ray machines, and advanced lab equipment for comprehensive pain assessment. The 15,000-square-foot main facility includes a Dexa machine for bone density testing and specialized lab equipment for immunoassay analysis. These resources enable accurate diagnosis of pain sources, supporting data-driven treatment decisions and monitoring of therapeutic effectiveness through objective measurements.
Surgical Implants
This specialized service manages surgically implanted devices for pain relief, including spinal cord stimulators and intrathecal drug delivery systems. Our experts handle device programming, maintenance, and optimization to ensure effective pain control. The department works closely with surgical partners at CHI Saint Joseph Health to coordinate implant procedures and post-operative care for complex pain cases.
Outpatient Surgery
Affiliated with CHI Saint Joseph Health, we perform advanced pain interventions including epidural injections, radiofrequency lesioning, and minimally invasive decompression procedures. These targeted treatments address specific pain generators through precise nerve blocks and tissue interventions. The surgical center's specialized equipment and our physicians' expertise enable outpatient treatment of complex pain conditions requiring procedural interventions.

Most of the MDs I've seen have been polite and professional, however the front office staff...not so much. I hate checking in and out! Most of these ladies are always very short tempered and tend to treat folks like they are superior to them.

So to start of Dr Hummel is an amazing doctor!! I love being her patient. She actually listens to what I say and my concerns. I appreciate all her advice and the answers to my questions. Ive had some really horrible doctors in my past, having many complex health conditions can be intimidating but Dr Hummel takes it completely while being so so nice. The nurses and lab techs are wonderful as well!
Not a bad thing to say about them! The front staff can be a bit stand offish and short. I have had good experiences with the front desk people, I think their moods vary with how busy they are so I understand

Dr.A Modadugu is an excellent pain physician. I've been dealing with chronic headaches for 16 years. He has consistently brought new treatments to the table and I can honestly say that he has helped improve my quality of life tremendously. I would recommend his staff as well as the clinic to anyone who truly wants to live a life as close to or pain free as possible as soon as possible. Thanks again for everything Dr. MO.

If I could give less than 1 star I would! This place is far from professional. I had read the horrible reviews but remained hopeful in anticipation of my appointment hoping for pain relief from facet syndrome along with a myriad of other spinal conditions, until my surgery date in August. The office location was suspect, as it appears to be in the back alley of some sort of strip mall complex. The receptionist was nice enough but inside the office was more the atmosphere of my local tire and lube shop waiting room, rather than a respectable doctor's office. The wait was a bit long, but new patient
