Dr. Carter
Report
Moms trust her to listen to them. Seems like an obvious thing for a Doctor to do, but in this fast paced world, it's now a sought after skill. Dr. Carter understands that parents have an intuition when something is wrong with their child and she actively involves them in the treatment. She knows that a simple change to shoe gear or a small orthotic insert can often have positive long term social benefits for a child.
Treatments
Report
Any shooting, aching, throbbing or sharp pains across the bottom of the foot at any point between the heel and ball of the foot is often referred to as arch pain. In most cases, arch pain develops from overuse, unsupportive shoes, weight gain or acute injury. The leg and foot are attached by the ankle joint which consists of 3 bones attached by many muscles, tendons, and ligaments.
Heel Pain
Report
When we get a new patient in the office that's complaining of pain in their heels and arch, the most common culprit is plantar fasciitis (pronounced planter fash-itis). This condition is one of the many that will get worse if you don't seek treatment, so ignoring the pain is not to your advantage. It's a necessity if you want to walk, run or jump, so any type of injury to this vital tendon can disable you just fast as it took old Achilles down.
