Age Designations
Report
Age eligibility is determined by a child's birth date. Our youngest team consists of players who are at least 8 years of age. Birth certificates are required at registration for all new players. These players may request a so-called "grade appropriate" play up. Every effort is made to allow players to remain with their peers assuming the overall numbers allow and assuming the player is capable of playing at the higher age group.
Time Commitment
Report
Players are expected to make a full commitment to FYSA and their team. Conflicts between FYSA games and practices to participate with other sports or teams may result in loss of game playing time and forfeiture of the players place on the roster. Keep in mind that many potential soccer players may not get the chance to play and would love the opportunity that someone else may take for granted.
Uniforms & Equipment
Report
You will receive an email in June with your assigned jersey number. Once you receive that email, please order your uniform with the assigned number. Use code FYSREWARD for our group discount. ALL NEW FYSA PLAYERS MUST GO ONLINE AND ORDER THE 4 REQUIRED NEW UNIFORM ITEMS: Uniform top (aka jersey), shorts, socks*, and practice t-shirt.
Coaches Corner
Report
FYSA would like to thank each of you who volunteer so much of your time and energy to coach each year. FYSA is currently one of the largest classic travel soccer club in the state with between 300 and 400 players each year and over 50 volunteer coaches. The success of our program relies on our volunteer coaches.
Important Dates
Report
Those of you who have a child in the club for the first time should make note of the Falmouth Fall Classic Tournament dates over Columbus Day weekend. Not only will this be a great weekend of soccer, this event is a huge fundraiser for FYSA which would operate at a deficit without it.
All families are required to do 2 hours of volunteer time per child during the course of the weekend, and information regarding this will be forthcoming as the season gets underway.
