OnStage School of Performing Arts' purpose is for students of all ages to be able to create a lifelong love of music and to use their lesson training in many ways. In teaching our students, we not only bring a wealth of knowledge to them about music history, instruments, and various cultures, but we help mold and establish life-long character traits such as self-confidence, team-work, patience, and perseverance.
Music Lessons

Music lessons help your child develop cognitive skills. A study on six year old children showed that children given nine months of music training scored an average of three points higher on intelligence quotient tests than those who didn't receive training. Learning to play the piano involves use of a variety of segments of the brain including areas housing spatial reasoning skills, emotion, creativity, and motor skills.

OnStage is ALWAYS looking for more teachers to join our faculty. You may only want to work a few days a week or five. We are constantly growing and would love to talk to see if OnStage might be a good fit. The owners Hannah and Chris are musicians who have taught and performed many years, so you would be working with all musicians.

If you are unable to attend a lesson, please let OnStage know at the earliest time possible, either by email to info@onstagecharlotte.com or calling or texting us at 704-769-2324. When less than 48-hours notice is given for missing a lesson, no makeup lesson will be given unless the student is sick.

Once you have decided to begin piano lessons for your child (or yourself - OnStage does have adult students), one of the most common questions is: which piano should I purchase? If you prefer a keyboard that will be appropriate for the first 18 months or so and don't know how dedicated your child may be then the Casio CTK3500 is a good choice.
