Pet Wellness Exams
Regular wellness exams allow early detection of health issues and establish baseline measurements for your pet. Our comprehensive evaluations include physical assessments, weight monitoring, and preventive care recommendations. Annual or biannual visits help maintain optimal health through tailored vaccination schedules and lifestyle guidance while building familiarity to reduce pet anxiety.
Pet Vaccinations
Custom vaccination plans protect pets from common infectious diseases based on regional risks and individual lifestyles. Core vaccinations receive priority while non-core vaccines get recommended according to exposure potential. Our documentation meets legal requirements while our education helps owners understand vaccine benefits and timing for maximum protection effectiveness.
Pet Dental Care
Professional dental cleanings remove plaque and tartar buildup to prevent periodontal disease. Our scaling and polishing procedures include dental X-rays for hidden issues below the gumline. Post-cleaning instructions cover home care techniques while advanced cases receive extraction or specialist referral options to maintain oral health and prevent systemic complications.
Pet Parasite Control
Year-round parasite prevention programs protect against fleas, ticks, heartworm, and intestinal parasites. We recommend customized products based on pet age, lifestyle, and exposure risks. Education covers environmental management strategies while diagnostic testing identifies existing infestations that might require treatment before prevention starts.
Nutritional Counseling
Personalized nutrition plans address weight management, food sensitivities, and disease-specific dietary requirements. We evaluate current feeding practices against ideal body condition scores and activity levels. Recommendations consider budget constraints while special formulas get suggested for developmental stages or chronic conditions like kidney disease and diabetes management.

What an awesome experience. We are new to Colorado Springs, and our Benji developed some issues. We were worried about finding the right Vet clinic/hospital, but thanks to the Dr and staff at Crossroads Animal hospital our worries are no more. Friendly staff, no surprise $$. We have found our new Vet Office.

Wonderful experience at Crossroads! Thank you for your kind, gentle providers and techs! My husband and I were devastated about having to send our gal Bailey to heaven at the end of her long road and a few weeks later we got this sweet card in the mail. Your kindness really made all the difference. Thank you!

I got my pup in March and have been here 4 times at least already, between vaccines and shots and today, I had to get my fur baby in because she had some weird eye discharge the last few days. I called Monday… to try and get her in but was told they are booked until the following Wednesday, but was advised to call 7:45 the following morning to get into an emergency appointment slot. I was able to get my pup in, and she was in and out in 45 minutes. Every time she has been seen I have been so impressed from the assistants who come get her from my car, to the vet (Dr. Paaymans) who calls me

I called Crossroads on a Saturday, worried my dog may have had a crazy infection. Dr Hyden and his staff were amazing, caring, and fixed my fur baby right up. I have taken all of my dogs to Dr H since 2006 and have never been disappointed.
