Kinetic Arts Center is home to a talented, hard-working and dedicated team of circus artists teaching a variety of classes. We are committed to hiring people who are passionate about teaching in the safe, encouraging and creative environment we have built at Kinetic Arts Center. Our aim is to support our instructors in the pursuit of their own artistic goals; granting time off to perform or to tour with outside companies.

Kinetic Arts Center is divided into two primary spaces: the main training floor and the studio. Both the main floor and the studio can be configured as theatre or rehearsal space with a full sound system and lighting grid. We are conveniently located right off the freeway, on a bus line, directly from either Lake Merritt or West Oakland Bart, and on the way to Jack London Square!

Kinetic Arts Center accepts workshop proposals year-round from resident and visiting teaching artists. There is something for everybody at every skill level. Perhaps you need a little inspiration to refine an act you've been working on FOREVER. Or, maybe you have been trying to summon the courage to register for one of our classes but you have felt a bit uncertain.
Youth Summer Camp

Our expanded TWO-week summer sessions are pure concentrated circus! Circus enthusi-artists will cheer each other on to greater heights as they climb, gain strength, and build confidence in aerial emphasis classes. We'll unlock the secrets of the ancient art of juggling and explore how to bridge physical distances with colossal communication by way of clowning.
