It is with profound sadness and the heartbreak of our store to announce the passing of our beloved friend and Children's Book World bookseller Bob Garza. For a bookstore that is filled from floor to ceiling with millions of words it is difficult for us to express how much he truly meant to all of us and to each of us.

Bob was an incredibly hard worker. He just wouldn't stop as long as there was something needed doing. But much more than that he was also a great listener and very thoughtful interlocutor. If I was having a bad day, he'd make it better without even trying; just by being his unflappable self. Bob was a great, funny, intelligent, calm presence, and his passing leaves a large hole in our lives.

Masks are required for any person 2 years and older. Because children are not able to be vaccinated, our store is maintaining a firm mask policy for all customers regardless of vaccination status to ensure a safe environment for our youngest visitors. Children of all ages are welcome, but must be accompanied by an adult and children 2+ must be in a mask.
