Classical Ballet Academy is a premier dance studio in Portland, Oregon founded in 2004. Our mission is to educate, inspire and transform dancers of all ages through the study of classical ballet and complementary dance forms. Reshaping the mind and body takes discipline and strength. CBA is dedicated to helping each individual achieve this goal.

What We Offer

The Young Children's classes offer an introduction to ballet and movement in a fun and nurturing way. CBA staff uses their patience and experience to inspire a love of dance and elicit notable improvements in a dancer's technique, physical awareness, and discipline. This training impacts all aspects of your student's life and will prove to be invaluable in years to come.
Productions

CBA dancers enjoy the rare opportunity of performing on stage in a professional environment multiple times per year. We produce both full-length and abbreviated classical and contemporary productions such as The Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, Don Quixote, and Firebird.
Our Young Children's Program students (Creative Movement and Pre-Ballet) are invited to perform with their classes in The Nutcracker Sweet Suite each winter, and an annual spring ballet showcase each spring.This is the first time many of these young students perform on a large stage, so we focus on keeping the atmosphere fun and relaxed to ensure the dancers are able to have an enjoyable experience on stage.

Competitions
Report
CBA focuses primarily on developing technique and etiquette in classes and full-length productions. However, we believe there are many benefits for aspiring dancers to experience the rigors of competitions and their associated workshop classes; including potential scholarship opportunities and college admissions.
