Chehalem Valley Dance Academy has been dedicated to providing high-quality dance education in a family-friendly environment since 1994. Our mission centers on developing both dance proficiency and essential life skills such as confidence, discipline, and community engagement. With two locations in Newberg and McMinnville, Oregon, we offer classes in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, pointe, acrobatics, and technique for ages 2 and up. We emphasize inclusivity, safety, and individualized training to help dancers of all levels achieve their potential.Our programs run from mid-September through May, culminating in an Annual Showcase where students display their progress. Ballet Classes

With over 25 years in dance education, Kristen leads CVDA's mission to combine technical excellence with character development. She oversees curriculum design and instructor training while maintaining community partnerships that enhance student opportunities.

We provide instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, musical theatre, pointe, and acrobatics for ages 2+.
Do you offer adult dance classes?
Yes, we have adult classes in hip hop, tap, and ballet at both our Newberg and McMinnville locations.

We maintain a maximum 12:1 student-to-teacher ratio with assistant instructors in most classes for personalized attention.

My daughter started taking one class about two or three years ago, now shes scheduled for four classes beginning in the fall. Thats after she wraps up her three summer session classes. She loves it! A variety of classes to choose from and great teachers to work with.

Dance skills are life skills! We have been a part of the CVDA dance family for 5 years. We chose this for our daughter over school sports and we have no regrets. The teachers are well trained, attentive, kind, and positive. Our daughter has excelled in many areas in and outside of dance. This is largely a result of the opportunities she has had and the amazing role models (teachers and staff) at CVDA. Dance skills really are life skills.

All three of my girls have danced with CVDA for more than 7 years. We have thoroughly enjoyed our experiences there. I have recently started taking an adult hip hop class and absolutely love it!
