Eastern Market Pottery was established at the historic Washington, DC Eastern Market in 1963. From its inception the studio has sought to serve as a creative arts space with a strong connection to the Capitol Hill neighborhood and community. Throughout the years the studio has weathered floods, fires, and global pandemics but remains committed to its vision and mission.

Sarah Buffaloe and her partner purchased the business in 2019 and look forward to continuing its traditions and establishing new ones. Eastern Market Pottery is a teaching studio that offers instructor-led classes for adults weekdays Monday thru Thursday. See the table below for the weekly schedule and tuition rates.
