The Thursday Club provides a historic ocean-view setting for weddings. Our Spanish-style clubhouse and blooming gardens accommodate up to 145 guests for ceremonies with additional reception space for 150. The venue includes tables, chairs, and approved caterers for seamless planning. Our staff assists with coordinating timelines and logistics for your special day.
Event Venue
We host anniversaries, memorials, and Celebration of Life events in our ocean-view spaces. The venue offers flexible indoor/outdoor arrangements with historic charm and modern amenities. Our team provides guidance on layout options and vendor coordination to ensure your event reflects your vision.
Garden Ceremony Space
Our garden features a flowing fountain, trellises, and panoramic ocean vistas for outdoor ceremonies. The space includes seating for 145 guests with standing room for 15 on the balcony. Natural landscaping creates a picturesque backdrop for photography and guest enjoyment.
Clubhouse Rental
The historic clubhouse offers original hardwood floors, stained glass windows, and French doors opening to gardens. The ballroom accommodates 150 guests with dance floor space. Rental includes access to all property areas and approved vendor lists for catering and decor.
Community Philanthropy
Through our Annual Rummage Sale, we donate 50% of proceeds to Balboa Park institutions and local San Diego charities. This tradition since 1921 supports civic projects and community development initiatives across the region.

We held our wedding ceremony and reception at The Thursday Club, and it was the best decision we could have made. Chris, the manager, is the nicest person, and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to emails, gave thoughtful responses to our questions, and had great vendor recommendations. On top of that, the venue is absolutely stunning. I would absolutely recommend the The Thursday Club to anyone in need of a wedding venue or event space.

views in San Diego. The beauty of this place is second to none. What makes it so special, is the manager who operates the club, Chris. He made my family feel like they were his family. He always greeted
us with a smile and went out of his way to accommodate our requests. He was always responding back to any and every question and offering

My husband and I got married at The Thursday Club and we cannot speak highly enough of the venue. Chris, the venue's manager, is phenomenal to work with - kind, professional, responsive, and attentive to detail. The venue itself is magical, with Spanish style architecture, a lush garden, and sunset views overlooking the ocean. We truly could not have been happier with our perfect day.

We got married at the Thursday Club last weekend. It was absolutely amazing!! The venue was the perfect mix of indoor + outdoor space that we had been searching for. Our ceremony was held outdoors in the garden and our reception was indoors in the clubhouse. With the mild San Diego weather, we were able to have the clubhouse doors and windows open, which gave the reception area a very airy and open feeling despite being indoors.
