Wedding FAQ

A: If The Client submits the cancellation form to The Point less than 60 days prior to the event start date they will forfeit the full 50% deposit. If The Client cancels with more than 60 days the client will be returned half of their deposit and The Point will keep the non-refundable 25% deposit. If the client cancels the event within 30 days of the event start day they are responsible for full payment of all event costs and losses.

Your plug & play waterfront picnic in just three simple steps! Ask about our packages for groups of 100-200 guests. If you have a guest count lower than 100 or higher than 200, contact us for a customized quote. We can create a custom package for your company with team building, watersports, games, and meals!
Team Building Activities

Teams will race against each other, competing challenges on land and sea in an effort to accomplish a larger group mission. With a combination of physical and mental challenges, contestants will work in groups to complete individual challenges from building a shelter, blind folded navigation, photo hunt, search and rescue mission on the bay (teams captain their own ships) and more!
The Venue

The Point consists of the Bay Room, Conference Room, Breakout Garden, and has access to a full sport center, 3 lawns, and beautiful Mission Bay. While they are considered separate spaces, and can be reserved individually, they can all be connected for one amazing free flowing event! Looking for a quote at The Point? Again, you having to write paragraphs of incorrect and false information just shows you often have to defend yourself and this business. The space you say is not yours, is representing themselves as you, and the pictures are of your venue and location. I would of reached out to your events manager but she lost my trust upon lying to us and presenting us with a new contract for a different date we never agreed upon, trying to be slick and dishonest. If you and your business would have been honest and upfront in the beginning, then I would have never had to write this review. I am not the

to the owner.... if the lot can only fit X amt of spaces.... but your venue books a number of guests triple that amount... you're apart of the problem

This spot is a hidden gem! We used this venue for a celebration of life service and it was perfect! Our ceremony was outside with a beautiful view. The venue provided everything we needed, from beautiful white chairs, to a clear A/V system both outside and inside the venue, set up just as we envisioned, helpful staff, enough tables and seating for all of our guests, it was impeccably clean, they’re accessible, easy to work with, and very kind! We had such an incredible time hosting our wedding at The Point, the venue and staff are beyond phenomenal. Everything was offered to us at a reasonable price with the ability of adding any vendor we chose. The full service, venue, location, and outdoor area made our decision incredibly easy. This venue was amazing. We couldn't have found a better location to host our wedding. We had the ceremony outdoors on the bay and it was gorgeous. The reception was held inside the building and it was tastefully decorated. We really enjoyed the back patio space, after our dinner, and so did our guests during the cocktail hour. The on site coordinator, Kim, was a great help to us, as well as our catering vendors. I hope everyone can enjoy this beautiful venue on their special day.

The Point literally gave us the wedding of our dreams! When covid hit, we were so disappointed to have to cancel our wedding plans and had no idea how or when to reschedule them. The Point did an Elopement Package giveaway on Instagram and my wife and I were some of the lucky winners. We will never forget their generosity in a time of worry and uncertainty, and will always recommend them for any type of event. It's a beautiful, dynamic space and the team is dedicated to each event's total success! All we can say is book it - you will not be disappointed. :)

We had a (somewhat spontaneous) intimate elopement ceremony and reception at The Point and it was amazing!

Despite the large crowd of beach goers, we were easily able to have a secluded ceremony with the beach as our backdrop. The crowd never bothered or intervened with our event.

We had our reception at the Bay Room/Garden. The venue was able to provide a few decorations for us and it was really beautiful. Even without decorations I feel the interior design and aesthetic of the room & garden is really breath-taking!

We only had our parents and siblings celebrating with us, but the space

We have been hosting monthly mastermind luncheon events at The Point now for about 3 months and I just have to say they are hands down some of the greatest people I have worked with. For me as an event planner, I expect a lot from just the venue / service aspect of a space you rent and to me what truly makes or breaks a venue will be the sales associates and planners that they staff.

The Point is a beautiful venue, highly technologically equipped, clean, it has beautiful furniture and decor, so the fact they have provide outstanding customer service and follow through literally makes hosting

Excellent meeting or party location! Very light and open room that could hold quite a large group, nice little garden space outside, beautiful views from every window and acoustics are not overbearing. It's a bit odd to find the restroom, but that wouldn't hinder my choice to host an event there. Overall 5 stars.

I have now been to The Point for several reasons: a wedding, an engagement party and multiple work related professional developments. The Point is one of the best multi purpose facilities in San Diego. Not only is it located in a beautiful spot, which makes it perfect for a special event like a wedding/engagement party as well as a work space, but it also has all the amenities we were looking for.

Wonderful venue for meetings/gatherings. We had about 100+ people attend an event my organization hosted and The Point accommodated our needs. We had attendees from out of town and The Point shows off some lovely views of Mission Bay. Grassy areas offer a lot of space for team building activities.

You HAVE to see this place! It has an open concept with a vaulted ceiling and lots of natural light. The mobile furniture can be reconfigured to suit your needs. I love the outdoor patio area and the giant indoor plant chandelier.

The all-day conference I attended at The Point was informative and well run; the food was delicious and we even had time to do an activity durning our lunch break. I highly recommend having your next event here!

I had no idea what to expect when my company informed my co-workers and myself that we would be heading to Mission Bay for a "Team building weekend" at The Point. I imagined trust falls and scavenger hunts. The Point went way above and beyond my expectations though!

Each day the staff found ways to surprise us with healthy and delicious food options as well as fun activities that allowed us to forget about work and just let loose and have fun. The space is unlike anything I have ever experienced. Especially in the corporate world where I am used to high rises, cubicles and monitors
