In 2014, Rachel Lederman and co-counsel obtained a $4.5 million settlement for Scott Olsen, a 24 year old Marines veteran who was shot in the head with an impact munition while peacefully protesting as part of Occupy Oakland. We are litigating to uphold the water protectors' right to oppose the fossil fuel industry's desecration of Indigenous lands and waters.
Alexsis Beach and Rachel Lederman litigate for better housing conditions for tenants in San Francisco, Oakland, San Jose, and other Bay Area cities, suing slumlords for defects like lack of heat, rodents, leaks and mold; wrongful eviction and displacement; and discrimination. We represent UC Berkeley students and alumni who were serially sexually harassed by a professor.
