I used to go to Oakridge as a student all the way up to middle school, and this is my honest review: In the beginning Oakridge felt really good and the atmosphere of the elementary school was great. The teachers had time for one on one conversations and for someone who was shy like me, that was great. :)
Later things definitely start to deteriorate in the educational department after the 6th grade.
Some teachers would resort to turning on movies when they didn't feel like teaching. It wasn't until I moved to a public school I realized how average the education system was. I personally

I can't say enough great things about this school. Their principal Mr. Stefan Joly honestly changed my sons life. He truly cares about children. He gives hope and encouragement to children that haven't gotten it in other schools. We moved our son to Oakridge in 8th grade and I can't say how much I regret not putting him there sooner. Oakridge teachers are the best! Thank you Oakridge!

For us, Oakridge has been a refreshing departure from the "race to nowhere". The class sizes are reasonable, the teachers work hard to keep the kids interested and engaged, and the homework (thanks in part to a study period built into the schedule) is extremely manageable compared to other schools. As a result, our daughter rediscovered a natural love of learning, which had begun to slip before we transferred her there at the start of 4th grade. We were told the middle school curriculum works a "year ahead", but didn't pay much attention. Our daughter was happy, thriving

My daughter came to Oakridge for kindergarten and we couldn't be happier with this school. We moved her here after a bad experience at another school, so she came in a couple months after the school year started. Mr. Joly and his staff were very kind ensuring her transition was as smooth as possible. As a parent, I like their advanced academic curriculum, foreign language exposure and the ease of drop off and pick up. Thank you for a great year, we highly recommend Oakridge !
