Our curriculum is inspired by the educational philosophy of the preschools of Reggio Emilia, Italy, which emphasizes that children are competent and capable from birth and they, along with their teachers and parents, become equals in the learning process of co-constructing knowledge together. We believe a child's interaction with their immediate world is the catalyst for learning.
It is through play that children are stimulated to explore, experiment, and discover using their own inherent style of learning. Children engage in investigations, which lead to longer term project work, using expressive languages such as clay, painting, drawing, collage, sculpture, paper making, weaving, blocks, dramatic play, music and more to further their ideas and interests.

From The Co-directors
Report
As a progressive preschool, inspired by the "Reggio" philosophy of how young children learn, our program uses an emergent curriculum that builds upon the interests of the children. Teachers document each child's progress, validating the children's abilities and enabling authentic ongoing assessment, rather than assessing through a single testing situation.
Parent Organization
Report
Our Parent Organization is comprised of all interested RPNS parents. There are many opportunities to volunteer throughout the school year and we encourage you to participate! This parent and staff event is held each fall. Enjoy an evening with friends combined with food, music, cocktails, and a silent auction.

Report
A deposit of 1/4 of the total tuition will be due upon signing the contracts, which you will receive with notification of class selection. This deposit is non-refundable and will be applied towards the tuition. Deposit checks will not be accepted without a signed contract. School Day
Report

The day is structured to include four essential components - free play, circle time, snack time and outdoor play.
Special Programs
Report
Dance is a universal language and it is spoken with unabashed joy by young children. Our Music and Movement program helps young children to develop flexibility and stamina while discovering how their bodies move in space. The children use instruments, scarves, songs, and poems to create movement sequences and improvisational storytelling.
