Patients with dry eye, astigmatism, and Keratoconus can now be fit successfully with scleral contact lenses. Children with increasing amounts of Myopia (near-sighted) can be treated with Orthokeratology lenses (Ortho-K). In addition to routine eye care and vision exams, we treat medical conditions such as dry eye, allergies, pink eye, floaters, headaches, Glaucoma, and cataracts.
Dry Eye Treatment

Current treatments begin with a specific brand of over the counter eye drop, and progress to steroids and prescription eye drops such as Xiidra and Restasis. Do your eyes always water? Depending on the cause of your dry eye, oral medications may improve your meiombian gland function and help balance the tear film of the eye.
Macular Degeneration Treatment

First, the treatments for Macular Degeneration depend upon the classification: dry AMD or wet AMD. Dry Age Related Macular Degeneration (AMD) should be monitored every 6 months so it can not develop into the wet type. Furthermore, treatments include the use of Macular Degeneration specific vitamins to slow progression and reduce the likelihood of developing wet macular degeneration.
Red Eye Treatment

Viral conjunctivitis is what most call "pink eye". Because of its viral origin, there is not a treatment, but instead the virus must run its course. Supportive treatment can improve the appearance of the eye, but the patient may still be contagious for 7-14 days. Bacterial conjunctivitis is most common in children, and can be treated with a ophthalmic antibiotic drop.
