
Jois Yoga is a teaching institute with a mission to train and educate students in both the practical and philosophical aspects of traditional Patanjali Ashtanga Yoga as developed and taught by the late Sri K. Pattabhi Jois in Mysore, India since early last century. At Jois Yoga we believe an effective yoga practice should bring contentment while helping you to move through life effectively with both grace and ease.
To achieve this we teach both the practice and philosophy of yoga. Our teachers are direct students of Sri K Pattabhi Jois, R Sharath Jois and Saraswati Jois and have received extensive training and certification at the prestigious Sharath Yoga Centre and KPJAYI Institute (Formerly Ashtanga Yoga Research Institute) in Mysore, India.

The foundation of the Ashtanga method is the Mysore Class. Regardless of age or ability, students in these classes practice and learn together under the guidance of one of our highly experienced teachers enriching the experience of all. Offered once per week the Led Primary Series Class is a 90 minute class in which the teacher leads the students through the Primary Series of Ashtanga Yoga followed by pranayama.
Beginners

Regardless of age or ability, beginners are always welcome at Jois Yoga. We will work with you where you are now, and we treat every student as an individual, guiding you toward your highest potential. In both cases you will start from the basics and work your way toward a sustainable practice that will be yours forever.
