DogCentric was founded in 2005 by a dog-lover who could not find a dog walking service for her precious pooch that met her high standards to keep her dog happy, healthy and safe. She left her job in the corporate world to form a dog walking company that provided individual, customized visits for furry family members.
Meet our Team

DogCentric's Management Team is passionate about the pet industry. Our background includes years of dog walking, an assortment of dog training certifications, and experience training service dogs. DogCentric dog walkers are all employees of the company. We never use independent contractors which allows us to train our walkers on how to properly do their job.

DogCentric serves two types of clients: those who use us on an as-needed basis and those who use us on a regular basis. Regular clients are invoiced at the beginning of each month. As-needed clients have the flexibility of adding visits here and there, as they need it, and are invoiced at the end of each month.

A profile is developed for each dog that describes his or her routine, medical history, temperament, and the location of supplies so that your dog's walker will have at hand all the information that he or she needs to keep your dog happy, healthy and safe during the visits.
The profile sheet will also include your dog's likes and dislikes, favorite toys and favorite place to be pet so that our walkers can really get to know the dogs' personalities and ensure each dog is happy during the visits.Regular exercise will not only tire your dog out but also keeps him/her healthy and fit.

We actively strive to give back by working with like-minded organizations to improve the lives of animals in our community by volunteering our services and providing financial assistance when possible. Friendship Hospital for Animals provides high-quality, compassionate care to the cats and dogs of the Washington DC metro area.
