Wellesley Cooperative Nursery School strives to help each child enhance his and her sense of curiosity and enthusiasm for learning. For children, play is their work. Daily activities provide opportunities for genuine intellectual growth, advancement of motor skills, creative expression, and social and emotional growth.
The large interior space in our preschool provides children opportunities to gather in groups of varying size, suiting a wide range of learning activities. The play yard is also a large space, and even in winter the children enjoy outside playtime and vigorous physical activity.

Our Approach

WCNS focuses on the individual child. We value the importance of each child fulfilling his or her potential. Children learn the basics of being away from mom and dad, becoming accustomed to school routines, trying new things, making new friends, and having FUN! The children at WCNS are active participants in their learning.
Programs
Report
Pre-literacy skills, development and socialization are combined with stories, music and crafts, as well as plenty of indoor and outdoor free play. Our school year is from September thru early June with open enrollment in between. WCNS follows the Natick Public School vacation schedule and is closed on federal holidays.

How do I sign-up my child? The director will give you an application form after you meet with her and tour the school. Seeing the school's programs in action is a great way to make sure that WCNS is a good fit for your child and your family. How is student drop-off and pickup handled? In the morning, WCNS students may be dropped off at the front door of the school where teachers will be waiting to greet them and walk them into their classroom.
