Since 1972, Francis and Kathleen Mahoney have been tending their Carneros region vineyards. In the nearly 50 years since, the Carneros region has been officially recognized as an American Viticultural Area (AVA); their children have grown up; and the Mahoneys have continued expanding the possibilities of Carneros wines.

Mother Nature has been great to the Mahoney family. She has provided the family with bountiful harvests, countless special times, and has always provided them a place of unique beauty in which to raise multiple generations of Mahoneys. The Mahoneys feel duty bound to give back to Mother Nature whenever possible.

Carneros Wine Company releases four different labels, each focusing on small production, micro-climate focused wines. Our Redwood Empire wines are a study in the microclimates of California's North Coast region. Fleur de California/Fleur de Carneros wines are our bistro-ready wines that perfectly showcase the varietal and the terroir of the vineyards they were grown in.

We have created multiple wine club options for our fans, and our fans-to-be, to follow along as we explore the cutting edge of clonal and terroir driven wine production. While our wine clubs focus on the limited production wines from our Certified Sustainable/Fish Friendly estate vineyards, there are club options for those who would like to try a larger sample of our wine selections.
