Believe it or not, specialty coffee was not invented in Seattle. Actually, your Great-Grandmother, as well as ours, roasted her own coffee at home every week. Because her coffee was so fresh, it was super smooth, without a hint of bitterness. At Lake City Coffee, Alisha and I (Russell) don't expect you to take the time and effort to roast your own coffee every week, so we do it for you.

If you don't like burnt and bitter industrial coffee, then you'll love our Majestic Medium. Your Great-Grandmother roasted her coffee low-n-slow to a medium brown, without a hint of bitter or burnt. All fresh roasted coffee starts going stale and bitter immediately and no amount of space age packaging technology can change that fact. Most coffee lovers eventually ask themselves, "How long does ground coffee last." Or, put in another way, they'll ask, "How long is coffee good for"? For year's I've been telling everyone that there is NO way on God's green earth to preserve roasted coffee.
