Established in 1972, Certified Driving School has been providing driver's education classes to teens and adults throughout Northwest Indiana for over 5 decades. Jerry Mazur, who devoted 39 years to teaching biology, started Certified Driving School with a vision of educating teen drivers about the importance of safe driving.
Teen Driving Classes

Hands-down, we've been Northwest Indiana's leader in teaching teens how to drive safely for over 50 years. We provide a fun classroom environment to learn in, while also offering an online driver's ed course for students with busy schedules. In this day and age, teens want to get their license quicker, which is where we come in.
Adult Driving Classes

Certified Driving School has been in business since 1972, and we know getting your permit or license can be a challenge for people of any age. The prospect of learning to drive can be intimidating, particularly in high traffic areas like Chicago and Northwest Indiana. Our Adult Driving Classes teach adults to drive safely & help obtain their driver's license regardless of age or skill level.
Internet Classes

While we feel there is no perfect substitute to taking the classroom session of driver's education with an actual licensed educator, we do offer the option to take the classroom portion of the driving course online. For teens that have hectic schedules with academics, athletics, jobs, and life in general, the internet class is a good option.
High School Classes

Certified Driving partners with local schools to offer driver's education classes through high schools during summer break. We currently provide two summer high school programs at Lowell and Griffith High Schools. We have partnered with Lowell High School for nearly 30 years and serving Griffith High School students for the past 10 years.
