Written Exam/Instruction Permit

Illinois requires all new drivers, both teens and adults, to pass the Secretary of State's written test in order to earn an instruction permit, which is needed for any behind-the-wheel practice. Illinois requires all 18-, 19-, or 20-year olds who have not completed a driver's education class to take this class in order to obtain their driver's license.

Earning a Driver's License has long been a rite of passage for Teens. Nova is pleased to offer both In-Class Instruction and Behind-The-Wheel Driving Lessons to Teens throughout Chicago Area. If none of our currently planned classes fit your teen's schedule, we will work with you to create a custom lesson schedule.
Defensive Driving Courses

Nova Driving School is proud to be among the handful of providers authorized to teach the National Safety Council's acclaimed Defensive Driving Courses. We are a National Safety Council certified training center with the ability to offer: Alive at 25, DDC4, DDC6, and DDC8. The effects of inexperience, peer pressure and distractions such as cell phones, text messaging, MP3 players and GPS units.
