Our students are known for their reflection of Christ's character through their commitment to service, their strong work ethic and their ability and willingness to step up and lead in a diverse and changing world. Mrs C, our PAES Librarian, works closely with Barnes & Noble for our book fairs and school and classroom libraries.
Recently, a representative from Barnes and Noble. PAES was founded in 1885 by the Seventh-day Adventist Church and has served the Portland area continuously since that time. In 1974 PAES was built at its present location in west Gresham on eighteen acres, nestled in a quiet neighborhood. Our campus includes a large one-story school building with a gymnasium, multiple sports fields, a school garden and a generous playground.

PAES supports our students with love, praying for them and contributes [to] their needs in any situation. I have realized incredible results with my kids that because their Christian principles works together with our family's principles in different ways: social, academic, spiritual and personal. PAES has an outstanding Christian teaching staff of passionate, committed, fully qualified and certificated teachers. The teachers have made a personal and spiritual commitment to serve our students and assist our families in developing the life of each child. Our teachers bring many years of experience with them to enrich the educational development of our students.
Student Life
Report
PAES middle school students are members of student government, the Associated Student Body. The ASB student leadership consists of elected officers who serve as representatives from each homeroom. The ASB provides an opportunity for students to have a voice in the activities at PAES. The elected officers and representatives promote pride in our school and sponsor activities for student participation.
