Chesapeake Driving School, LLC is owned and operated by public school teachers in Calvert counties. The MVA requires each instructor to go through training and pass exams in order to teach drivers education.
In addition to this training, all of our instructors have actual college degrees in teaching, are fully certified teachers through the Maryland State Department of Education, and have decades worth of combined teaching experience at the secondary level.Angela began teaching as a middle school Language Arts teacher in Calvert County in 1999 and is now working as a Math Intervention Teacher in Charles County.

We will drive you to the MVA, practice with you before the driving test, and then let them use our CDS car to test with. If you would like to just use our car we will meet you at the MVA in Waldorf or Loveville at a specific time. Allow Chesapeake Driving School Instructors to complete 30 hours of drive time with your student.

Driver Improvement

Chesapeake Driving School teaches a Certified and Licensed three hour Driver Improvement Class that meets the requirements of the MVA and the Maryland Court System. All classes are located at our Duke Street office. We ask on the day you report to class you arrive 10 minutes early and bring your DIP MVA assignment letter (if applicable), Valid Identification, Registration Fee in Cash or Pay Pal Receipt, and something to write with.

Chesapeake Driving School, along with the MVA, believes that parent involvement is paramount to young student drivers becoming as safe as they can be on the road. We also know how difficult it can be for parents to fit a 3 hour orientation class into their schedule for Drivers Education.
In that spirit of understanding Chesapeake Driving School offers an hour long parent night once a month in our Duke street classroom for parents who have enrolled their students, or plan on enrolling their students, into one of our Driver Education classes.This is no extra cost and enrolling is easy.

Download the MVA New Driver Manual here and print it out for reference (Or get one from the MVA). Must be held for a minimum of 9 months before eligible for Provisional License (18 and under). Students may take the classroom portion without a learner's permit, and then return for the on-the-road training after they have obtained their permit.
