Powered and operated by the families whose children attend our school, the parents at Oneonta are engaged members of a cooperative community participating actively in their child's play and educational experiences. Introduces foundational socialization, self-help skills, self-esteem, communication, language development and learning routines.

Oneonta Cooperative Nursery School, founded in 1947, is the longest running parent participation preschool in the community of South Pasadena. Serving the community of parents interested in sharing their child's preschool experience, we are a non-profit corporation, powered and operated by families whose children attend our school.
Our Staff
Report
Our staff consists of caring, nurturing individuals who have a genuine interest and love of young children. The teaching staff is trained in Early Childhood Education with vast experience, participating in continuing programs of professional development including advanced college coursework, conferences, workshops, and other trainings.
What is a Co-op

Oneonta Cooperative Nursery is powered by families of whose children attend the school. Our parent community work in cooperation with one another and with the school's teachers. Parents at Oneonta are engaged members of a cooperative community; participating actively in their child's play and education experiences.
Programs & Tuition
Report
Oneonta offers a variety of classes and programs for children between the ages of 16 months and 5 years. Class capacity for the Treehouse, Sunroom, and M/W/F Greenhouse is 15 children. Our ratio is 1 adult for every 4 children. The adults include: 2 teachers and 2 parent/guardian volunteers. The Sunroom Class places an emphasis on expanding social, emotional and independence skills.

Report
After taking a required tour, an application needs to be filled out completely and returned to the director with the $65.00 non-refundable application fee. Oneonta Cooperative also offers the opportunity to schedule a date to survey a class at anytime throughout the school year. Your application will only become valid once the $65.00 registration fee is paid.
