Here at Sierra Madre Community Nursery School, we see the value in play. Our school is a community within a community with each family giving and receiving just like family members. Founded in 1947 by five Sierra Madre families we continue to provide a natural setting to learn through play for children ages two to five.
Children develop social and emotional skills through developmentally appropriate play guided by teachers and parents working in the classroom. Loving-caring-trusting means valuing yourself so you can value another. We seek to meet the needs, abilities and interests of each child through play experiences.

Programs
Report
Our school follows a traditional calendar. We begin our school year in September and end in June. We offer 2, 3 week summer sessions that begin one week after the regular school term and ends the last week in July. Children are placed in their classes (Groups) based on their chronological and developmental age.

Our morning program for the 2021-2022 school year is full. We are accepting applications for our afternoon program or you may remain on the waiting list until your preferred schedule becomes available.
