We are all made in the spiritual image of God, to be like Him in character. We are the supreme object of God's creation. Although mankind has tremendous potential for good, we are marred by an attitude of disobedience toward God called "sin." We all were created to exist forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by our sin, or in union with God through forgiveness and salvation.
The place of eternal separation from God is called Hell. Heaven is the place of eternal union and eternal life with God. Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is coequal with the Father. Jesus lived a sinless human life and offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all by dying on a cross.

The mission of Indian Rocks Christian School is to lead every student to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ while providing the highest quality Christian education in an environment of genuine love and concern for each student and parent. The founding philosophy of Indian Rocks Christian School was centered on the saving work of Christ and the idea that Indian Rocks Christian would provide a comprehensive, quality education to Pinellas County families who desired such for their children. Isaiah 40:31 states, "but they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint " (ESV).

Indian Rocks Christian School was established in 1984 as a ministry of the First Baptist Church of Indian Rocks. Under the direction of Dr. Max Gessner, Indian Rocks opened its doors to 42 preschool and kindergarten children. Additional elementary and middle school grades were added in subsequent years.
