Outdoor Nursery School welcomes children aged 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old. Our mission is to prepare our children to become independent, self-assured, and ready to meet the next challenge through play-based learning. We offer opportunities for children to experience the joy of life while they learn.
In addition to being early childhood education certified, each of our teachers brings special flavors to the school and feels honored to teach at this special place where they help children develop fundamental concepts basic to language, reading, mathematics, science, and social studies.The basic tenets of our school have changed little since its founding in 1933.

We believe each child is a unique individual who must be allowed to explore the realm of childhood in keeping with his or her own needs. Therefore, we are alert to the broad development differences due to age, personality, and rates of growth. We provide an interpersonal and physical environment to support each child's development and learning style.
Enrollment

Children 2 1/2 to 4 1/2 years old are eligible for admission to our preschool. As a general rule, children are placed in their chronological age group. Those in the 2-day-2s (Pinecone, M-T) program typically range in age from 2 1/2 to 3. In the 3-day-3s (Acorn, W-F) class, children are typically 3 to 3 1/2.
