Driver's Education

SP Driving Academy proudly offers their clients MVA-certified, 36-hour Driver's Education course. Upon course completion, you will be eligible to obtain a Maryland provisional driver's license. Maryland law requires ALL first-time drivers to complete the MVA-certified Driver's Education course in order to obtain a state driver's license.
Driver's Improvement DIP

SP Driving Academy offers the Driver Improvement Program. This three-hour class is required by the Maryland MVA for international license conversions. We offer the Classroom Version and the Online Version of the Driver Improvement Program. The Driver Improvement Program (DIP) is a 4-8 hour instructional program intended to provide driver rehabilitation for those who are assigned to the program.
Car Rental and Driving Practices

The MVA's practice requirements are reduced for new drivers over the age of 25. The applicant MUST pass the MVA-certified Driver's Education course and hold their learner's permit for at least 45 days. The applicant must also log at least 14 additional hours of home driving practice in order to be eligible to take their final driving test for their license.
