Meet The Owner
Report
Mr. Smith began his career as a licensed driver instructor in 1981. In 1986 he was hired as a road test examiner for the DC Department of Motor Vehicles, where he worked for 20 years administering the road skills test. He enjoys seeing people come from fear to confidence when learning to driving. For more than 30 years we have been helping people of all ages learn to drive.
Services and Rates
Report
Our driving packages help new or inexperienced drivers earn a driver's license. Our sessions are built to accommodate the unique requirements of every student, and the lessons will adjust depending on the actual progress demonstrated by the student. Led by our professional and experienced instructors, these sessions deliver safe, confident, informed, and patient drivers to American roads.
Adult Driving Classes
Report
If you are 21 years or older, the following are the steps to becoming a licensed driver in DC. You must obtain a learner's permit before getting a DC driver's license if you do not hold a valid license from another jurisdiction. DC residents are eligible to apply for a learner's permit upon passing the eye test and knowledge exam (Learner's Permit Test), which tests knowledge of traffic laws, road signs and driving safety rules.
Teen Driving Classes
Report
If your teen is between 16 and 20 years old (or you are), getting a provisional driver's license is about more than learning to drive a car. At CAS Driving School, our goal is to help every young person we teach to be a safe and competent driver. Considering that motor vehicle crashes are the leading cause of death for U.S. teens, there's no shortage of worry (and stress) for parents whose teens are learning to drive.
Road Tests
Report
The road test for a DC Driver's License examines your ability to safely operate a motor vehicle, proper use of turn signals, parallel parking, and several other driving skills. The test requires use of a car. CAS Driving School offers additional preparation and vehicle usage for taking the DC Road Skills Test.
