First, let me warn you that I am a nerd, and I love food. My journey to become a doctor started with a passion for all things food-related and a degree in dietetics. I loved learning about digestion, metabolism, biochemistry, and how the body responds to food. I ate it up! I later learned that nearly 90% of chronic diseases are related to diet and lifestyle, and I thought, 'I have to help prevent this.
I have to become a doctor.' My practices focuses on gastrointestinal health through the power of nutrition and Food as Medicine. For the first time in my life I look forward to going to the doctor and I feel like I am seen as an individual not part of a calculation of how I should be/ compare to the general population.

Holistic nutrition means looking at the whole picture of your nutrition status: your unique blood markers, your food preferences, your nutritional deficiencies, and your food intolerances. Naturopathic doctors are trained to look for nutrient deficiencies to know which supplements and dietary recommendations are best for which conditions.
