What conditions do you treat?
We treat pain conditions, chronic illnesses, emotional imbalances, and auto accident injuries. Specific conditions include migraines, fibromyalgia, anxiety, and post-concussion syndrome.
Do you accept insurance?
We're in-network with most major insurance plans. For out-of-network coverage, check your policy's acupuncture benefits. Motor vehicle accident treatments are covered by Oregon PIP insurance.
Is acupuncture painful?
Our Japanese-style techniques use ultra-fine needles with minimal sensation. Most patients experience deep relaxation during treatments without discomfort.
How many sessions are needed?

What happens during the first visit?

Susan is a treasure, and gives me hope for my well-being. She is professional and practices the Kiiko Matsumoto style (new to me). Susan is amazing and highly skilled at her craft. I didn't know what to expect on my 1st visit and came in with an open mind. She was very welcoming, and we discussed my health history as it was imperative in her finding the right treatment. I suffered from a blown disc at the time and had nerve issues in my leg. She was able to restore most of the feeling back in my leg which is a blessing. I highly recommend her; she is very talented.

What a great find! Susan at An Shen Acupuncture has done wonders for me. This was my first time trying acupuncture and I wasn't sure where to start. I made a post asking for feedback in my local neighborhood and Susan's name came up several times as a recommendation. I had a unusual circumstance and about to lose my insurance and she worked with me to make sure to get all of my allowed visits in and to help heal my ongoing pain in my neck that I have had for 6 months.
