Michael Montgomery founded Newington Music to provide quality music education to the Greater Hartford community, and via Skype or Facetime Lessons. He studied Percussion and Piano at The Hartt School / University of Hartford while enrolled in the BA in Applied Music degree program as a Classical Percussion Performance major, with an emphasis on Snare Drum, Timpani, 2 & 4 Mallet Keyboard Percussion, and Drum Set.

Our project studio features a Pro Tools based recording facility allowing us the freedom to take a project from inception to completion in a cost effective and efficient manner within an environment that provides total support for the creative process.
Our fully equipped, air conditioned main studio includes a DW drum kit with double bass pedal, Gretsch drum kit, Ludwig Backbeats drum kit, Roland V-Drums and Simmons electronic drum kits, Roland SPD-SX sampling pad, Roland Octapad, Musser xylophone, Congas, Timbales, Bongos, Djembe, various hand percussion, Baldwin upright piano, Yamaha Digital Piano, Roland D-50 Synthesizer, Roland Juno-DS61 Synthesizer, multiple sound modules & samplers, multiple electric and acoustic guitars, guitar effects and loopers, electric bass, multiple microphones & amplifiers.
