Owner & Director
Jill founded Steppin' Time in 2008 after teaching her first class at 15. With a degree in Dance and History from Sam Houston State University, she specializes in tap instruction and has shaped the studio's community-focused philosophy.
Jamie
Assistant Director
Jamie has worked at Steppin' Time since 2008, teaching jazz and mentoring students. She studied dance at Lonestar College and brings expertise in performance preparation and student engagement to her role.
Katie
Company Director
Katie holds a BFA in Dance from Sam Houston State University. As Company Director since 2011, she focuses on choreography and student creativity, helping dancers develop their own artistic expression.
Leila
Community Director
Leila has served as Community Director since 2014, fostering the studio's inclusive environment. With a BFA in Dance, she specializes in building student confidence and creating positive learning experiences.
Heather
Instructor
Heather joined the team in 2016, bringing experience from Disney Entertainment. She teaches multiple styles and connects with students through her Broadway expertise and passion for dance education.

I am shocked! My daughter came home saying she overheard staff body shaming and talking negatively about students techniques! This is not the first time shes mentioned it and I addressed it. This seems to be a consistent behavior of the studio according to other parents who have left and gone to other studios. My daughter will never attend a studio who is responsible for the development of young ladies but act like adolescents themselves. So sad. Do better.

Steppin Time is the best dance studio my girls attended. Between my two daughters we have been involved with dance for over 16 years at multiple dance studios. The staff there treats every dancer with respect and allows them to flourish to their full potential.

My daughter has been with this studio since she was almost 3, so 13 years. Its taught her way beyond dance. Its taught her kindness, tenacity, leadership and hard work. Its her safe place. As a parent of a teen, what more could you ask for?

We have two daughters dance at Steppin Time dance studio in core and competitive level dance for the last 5 years Every teacher and dancer at this studio has been nothing short of exceptional. The teachers and owner of the studios role model for students how to not only excel in dance technique but also be loving, encouraging , supportive and kind to one another. Over the past five years I’ve watch the students love and encourage each other, so refreshing and rare.

We have been with this studio for over a decade. All 3 girls of my girls love it as their home away from home. Dance has really made their life full and given them the most amazing experiences for life. They have the most amazing dance family!

My daughter and I have had a wonderful experience at Steppin Time. Mrs. Leila is my childs favorite teacher and she cant wait to see and learn from her technique in studio each week.
