A speech/language evaluation is approximately 1 to 1.5 hours in duration. A case history is gathered from the parent about a child's developmental milestones and medical history, and then the child is administered formal standardized tests to measure his or her speech and/or language skills based on age.
A speech/language treatment session is conducted at the child's school or home. Materials and activities are carefully selected by the therapist to target the child's individual goals on his or her plan of care. Bright Speech LA offers the option of a free initial 30 minute consultation with you and your child to determine if he/she would benefit from a full evaluation.

Sarah specializes in early speech and language development, language acquisition, behavior management, social skills and has vast experience with children and adults with autism spectrum disorders as well as a variety of other diagnoses.
Sarah provides play based treatment in children's natural environments (including their homes, daycares or preschools) while implementing functional therapy techniques that involve family members and/or school/daycare staff in the process to improve carryover and generalization of skills.She is passionate about working closely with children, teens and their families in order to reach their goals.

We work with clients in Los Feliz, Atwater Village, Silverlake, Burbank, Hollywood, Glendale and surrounding LA areas. I do not accept insurance and am considered an "out-of-network" provider. However, you can still apply for coverage and reimbursement, depending on your insurance plan. I provide every client with "superbill" invoices to submit to your insurance company.
